12-30-09

5:02am, 37 degrees - Leaving for Philadelphia, talk to Jimmy most of the way, then fall asleep
6:00am Hello Georgia!
7:27am, 40 degrees - French Toast at good old Cracker Barrel! Just woke up
8:08am - Gas station, learned about Trinity's logbook
8:13am; Back on the road with Trinity driving (stalls a few times, car behind us honks twice :p)
8:32am Good morning South Carolina! Fell asleep shortly after we got onto the interstate.
10:23am, 39 degrees - Rest stop (Just south of Florence) Didn't get out. Some black thugs pulled up and one of them walked out with a huge blanket, lots of bling! I think the white thugd00d was the driver.
10:37am - Leave rest stop, I think I fell asleep at this point
11:23am,41 degrees - North Carolina!
12:44, 38 degrees - JR Rest Stop, went to the bathroom, saw some ugly purple/red fake X-mas trees and looked around for cigars. I remembered being here a while back, then pointed Jimmy to the right direction (the cigar store was on the other side of the building than the cigarrettes. I looked at some books, thought about buying a 1001 spinwheel fact book) I believe I swapped and sat up front at this time.
1:01pm Mobil Gas Station
1:08pm Back on the road
2:16pm, 38 degrees - Virginia
2:35pm, 38 degrees - Long John Silvers. Got a #8, chicken and fries. It was inside a gas station with a Blimpie. The food was okay, but I wasn't very hungry anymore after I ate the chicken. My stomach began to hurt pretty bad. It was so weird sitting inside a gas station right next to the merchandise. Jimmy: "I wonder if they would arrest you if you took the toilet paper off the shelf and walked into the bathroom."
3:10pm - On the road again, I fell asleep, they woke me up to see the snow in the ditch. Sat awake and saw more snow to the right inside the forest. It looked fantastic with all the dead trees!
6:00pm, 34 degrees Maryland/D.C., tons of traffic! Got to see the capital building in the distance while on the bridge. Should have worn my contacts.
7:10pm - Baltimore Harbor Tunnel/toll $2, bright tunnel!
7:35-7:51, 31 degrees - BP/toll $5
8:24pm, 30 degrees - Delaware/toll $4, almost home!
8:55pm, 31 degrees - Pennsylvania
9:30pm Home! So cold outside! I couldn't feel my fingers or face, then my fingers began to hurt! Took 3 trips to bring the stuff inside. The city looks amazing! The apartment building is just as I imagined it, just like the movies! Didn't see any snow, only a very small patch that was pretty icey. Brrrr!

Ordered a HUGE cheese pizza, settled in, watched The Truman Show, talked to Ben on Skype/Meebo, took a shower and registered for this. Headed to bed around 1am I believe.
