1-7-10

Tonight is when I leave to go home. 7:05pm.

I woke up roughly after 10. I kept waking up here and there, when Jimmy went to the bookstore for his books, came back, but I was too exhausted to get up and shower. Literally, just about every muscle in every limb of my body aches. But, it's sort of the refreshing ache. I like it. The days when you work so hard and you wake up and are completely sore, but you know it's good for you. So then you enjoy your shower so much more.

Anywho, I got a shower and got ready and here I am, 11:10AM. Trying to sort things out and now I'm going to get dressed to go out! We're going to the prison and a tower and to do some last minute things.

10:45am
Mburg: 46/46, sunny, 1mph wind.
Philly: 36/26, fair. 17mph wind.

We went to the Reading Market for breakfast. Apple Cinnamon French Toast. Bought stuff, went to the City Hall Tower Tour, came home, packed up, tried some new Hazelnut coffee, and now we're going to the prison. 2:22PM.

We walked to the prison and were there half an hour before the 3pm tour, so we walked around a bit and looked at gift items. The tour started at 3 and ended around 4:15. It was very fascinating, and the guide was pretty nice and informative. Afterward, I bought some gifts and we walked straight home. I'm finishing packing, going to eat my leftover cheese steak pasta, and we need to get out of here soon!

1-6-10

Woke up around 8am. Slowly got out of bed, got a nice, long, warm shower. I'm dressed REALLY warm today. Thermals, thick pajama pants, jeans, thermal shirt, white t, black t, long sleeve t..soon a hoodie and jacket on top of that...haha

It's 9:10AM.

At 9:05AM:
Mburg: 29/22, sunny, 8mph winds.
Philly: 31/21, cloudy, 13-24mph winds.
Blue Mountain Ski Area, PA: 26/16, cloudy 13-23mph winds.

Had another breakfast sandwhich. Yum :). It's 9:32AM.

And....we're off! 9:52AM.

We arrived about 2 hours later. I bought the beginner lift ticket/first lesson, rental for $50. By the time I got my boots and board and over to the building, I had missed the lesson by 5 minutes (12:05pm). So, I had to wait for the next one, at 1pm.

I waited half an hour for Jimmy to go get his stuff and come back, then he showed me how to stand and use heel edge and toe edge for 15 minutes. I went back inside to check in. The guy said I had everything right, and to meet outside soon. They came out and said they were ready to go. I went out and we waited until 1 in case anyone else showed. Nobody did, so I essentially got a private lesson (which are much more). This was my instructor's first time teaching. His name was Chase. He helped out a bit. After 30 minutes, I was sweating like never before, and I was very thirsty. He said I was catching on very quickly, which I'm used to hearing, haha. I had a little trouble turning on heel edge and going from toe to heel. The time was up at 2pm, so I headed to the car with Jimmy to eat our sandwich. I wanted to strip down so bad, I was soooo hot. I took off my long sleeve shirt and hoodie and drank an entire bottle of water.

Then, we headed back out. I went down the small hill one more time and then Jimmy and I went on the chair lift on the bigger hill. We did that about 5-6 times. I basically kept learning to stop using heel and toe and then eventually got to do my S's, turning from heel to toe to heel etc. I got 4 in a row down. I essentially need to take the turns slower to slow down. At first, I wanted to just slide right down! Thinking about it, it would be bad because I'd be going too fast to stop for my own good. I busted my but a good few times, especially on the right hill near the treebushes. My 4th or 5th run was when I did the 4 continuous turns pretty well. The last run, I did myself, as Jimmy went down to the bottom. I then went down the lower hill too, and we were done! We were in the car, changing and packing back up. I ran inside to return my stuff and then we were in the car, and he pulled up to use the restroom. We had left shortly after 4pm, and the drive took about 2 hours and we were home by 6. We basically sat here for a bit, relaxed, and he looked up places to eat for a while. He finally settled on some pub, so he got a quick shower and now he's out and we're fixing to leave! (7:34pm).

7:25pm
Mburg: 35/31, clear, 5mph winds.
Philly: 35/26, partly cloudy, 11mph winds.

Left, ate chicken wings and cheese steak pasta and celery and...oh and water. Left sometime after 9pm. It's now 9:39pm. We're home, I'm tired, worn out, sore, and cold. Can't wait to get a nice hot shower before I go to bed. I'll be waking up REALLY sore!

Sat around, talked, made them a DVD of my pics, then started to watch Gilmore Girls but Jimmy fell asleep. AGAIN! They went to bed just around 11pm. I took a shower around 11:50pm and here I am, laying down at 12:18am.

1-5-10

Woke up at 11am. Hopped in the shower, out by 11:30am. Had to shave and such.
Talking to Ben on Meebo.

11:15AM
Mburg: 37, feels like 29. Sunny. 12mph winds.
Philly: 30, feels like 19. Partly cloudy. 15-24mph winds.

We headed out for the Mint at 12:12PM. That's where they make all the coins. It was pretty fascinating. Free. No cameras or cell phones allowed. We arrived there at 12:25PM. Afterward, we walked over to the Federal Reserve across the street (where they store all the money before it goes to smaller banks). We were scanned inside these tube-like rooms and whatnot. There wasn't much to see. It was almost like a kid's museum, but for adults, seeing as they probably wouldn't understand most of it. There were different stations that taught you different things about money and credit cards and the works. We then headed to the visitor center to check on times and tickets for Independence Hall. That lady sure did talk a lot. Then, we headed to the car and were there by 2:18PM. We headed through the Italian Market to get some famous Philly Cheese Steaks. Arrived at Pat's King of Steaks at 2:40PM and Jimmy and I split a cheese steak. It had onions on it, and it wasn't bad. I was FREEZING though, I couldn't feel my hands at all and they hurt. As we were finishing up, NBC was interviewing some guys RIGHT behind me about the Dallas vs. Eagles game this past weekend. They eventually got to the table RIGHT behind me, and we finished and got up and left before they could talk to us. Also, they had a similar drink to root beer that we had, it's basically like a cherry root beer.

We headed across the street to Geno's steaks, and split another one there. It was absolutely FREEZING. We headed back to the car and got there at 3:03PM. Then, we left for the Liberty Bell and parked at 3:22PM. As we walked, I got some pictures that I wasn't able to take earlier because I didn't take my camera when we went to the Mint. Some of it was like Betsy Ross's house, the lady who made the flag, where she hid in the basement because they were going to kill her, the first residential street in America, Benjamin Franklin's grave, and even the house that they used when The Real World or whatever was here in Philadelphia. We stopped at Starbucks and I got a White Chocolate Mocha. Yumm! We left there at 3:38PM. We were already in the line waiting to get into the Independence Hall by 3:56PM. He showed us two rooms on the first floor, then another room on the second floor that Jimmy had never seen. Jimmy said he didn't show us some other rooms that they showed him before. Also, the guy told us that the tower was going to be rebuilt or something like that this summer, mid-July. It'll take about a year and a half to do. Then, Jimmy and I walked over to Congress Hall and let this guy talk for a bit. Then, we went into a room where the Articles of Confed, a real copy of the Constitution, and some other document was. Jimmy said I couldn't take pictures, only to find out that you could, just not with flash. I didn't get a picture, and it was too late by the time I found out that it was one of the real 8 copies. I hope to go back sometime to get a quick few pictures.

We walked back and got in the car at 4:53PM. We made it home and inside by around 5:15PM, and here I am, typing it all out, and it's 5:29PM.

5:05PM
Philly: 30, feels like 20. Cloudy, 13-22mph winds.
Mburg: 44, feels like 37. Sunny, 12-18mph winds.

Been sitting around, watching football, eating, watching tv shows, and then tried to watch The Soloist but Jimmy fell asleep. They went to bed and it's 11:36PM and I'm just hanging out for a little bit more, talking to Ben.

Hopefully getting off soon. It's 12:43AM.

1-4-10

I was partially awake, but I got out of bed around 11:45AM..I don't even remember now. I jumped straight into the shower, as Jimmy was on his way home with the sandwiches and we were going to City Hall today.

12:05PM
Mburg: 41, feels like 38. Sunny. 5mph winds.
Philly: 31, feels like 20. Mostly Cloudy. 15-20mph winds.

I got out around 12:15PM, and I ate my sandwich, which was basically a hoagie roll with a sausage omelet inside. Lots of cheese! It wasn't bad at all. I was just looking at my books for next semester. English book used @ $10 and I can't find my math book anywhere online, and the school wants $200 for it. Yikes!

We're getting ready to leave soon, as it is 12:38PM.
Just about out the door, and it's 1:07PM. MAN I want a new camera. Jamie is very lucky she's getting a nice camera!

---

Didn't go to City Hall. We're saving it for an even clearer day. We arrived at Macy's by City Hall at 1:43PM. We went to the third story to look for Christmas ornaments, but didn't find what they wanted. So, we looked around at some clothes real quick. I looked at the scarfs, wallets, gloves, bags, jackets, etc. Gloves @ $65. At least in FL, all you need is a bathingsuit. Jackets around here are $100+. A decent one is $165. Calvin Klein (or however it is spelled) is $500. NOO thank you. We left at 2:07PM

We stopped at Nuts To You at 2:13. It's basically a variety of nuts store, all sold in bags of 1 pound. In the back is some candy. It's not a typical candy store though, it was more unique stuff. I wanted to buy the granola bag to use as a cereal, but decided against it. They got some assorted nut thing and some other stuff. We left that at 2:22PM. We drove around a bit and I got to see Trinity's school [which was several blocks big] and Drexil University, and some pretty neat buildings, like the hospital. I also got a picture of the scene from The Happening, as well as the park from the movie.

We drove over to EMS (Eastern Mountain Sports) at 2:48PM and looked around for a while at some hiking stuff. I thought it was a unique store, although pricey. They had soap paper that was basically like the listerine papers that you stick on your tongue. There were some neat hiking shoes, bags, jackets, socks..you name it. Jimmy loves that store, but he has a more favorite one; I just wanted to check it out. The jacket I've been wearing is from EMS and I really like it. But it's ~$80. We left there at 3:10PM.

We walked over to Naked Chocolate Cafe, instead of getting Bubble Tea. I got the Chocolate Chip Truffle Tea. It was absolutely disgusting. We left at 3:24PM and got back in the car at 3:29PM. He drove me back by there so I could run in and put sugar in it. Didn't help, I was feeling sick anyway, I had a headache.

We arrived at South St. at 3:50PM. At first I didn't see what was so great, but this was probably because we were just in Times Square last night. However, after a while, I could understand how it was a pretty "hip" place, especially considering the history behind it. There were several shops up and down the street, so I can understand how it is a hip place to shop and hang out. We walked around a little bit, but didn't see too much that was interesting. We got out of the car when we arrived at 4PM, well, 4:04PM to be exact, since we had to park and whatever else we did. Oh yeah, Jimmy talked to his boss on the phone and we had to be quiet :p. We stopped at Beyond the Wall: Posters and More for your Decor at 4:07PM. It was a small store with lots of posters and a few novelty items, like the quad capturing camera, the dual camera, some prank receipts, etc. There were some obnoxious girls that were talking about smoking the whole time, with extremely weird hair. I don't know if they worked there or not. We left at 4:11.

We stopped at CE or CEX entertainment at 4:23PM to look at the iPod touch. It's basically a used electronics store. It didn't look too bad, but I don't trust used electronics. They had cameras and video games and the such. We left at 4:25PM. We left South St. around 4:30PM. We arrived at Lazaro's Pizzeria & Grill at 4:38/4:40PM. Jimmy and I got the Buffalo Chicken pizza slice and I got a root beer. The actual place to sit down was next door. It was pretty good pizza, but I was pretty sick (headache) and probably dehydrated from yesterday. We left there at 5:02PM. We headed to Super Fresh (a grocery store) at 5:09PM. Basically, you pull up in a parking garage, and then we grabbed a cart, went on the elevator, and when it opened, you're in the front of a grocery store. It was pretty neat, but I didn't have my camera, I didn't think it'd be special. We shopped around for some groceries and left at 5:45PM. We got home at 6PM to drop off the groceries and junk.

We left the house at 6:15PM to go to Ross. We got there at 6:44PM. I had fallen asleep until we arrived. It didn't take long, as we left for target at 6:46PM. Trinity had to return a camera bag or something, so I went to electronics to look at cameras the entire time. Don't get me started! I read a little pamphlet thing on the features of a digital camera, to help people know what to look for. Then I found Jimmy and Trinity looking at a printer. We left target at 7:07PM and arrived at Macy's at 7:15PM. They looked for ornaments, but still couldn't find what they were looking for. We walked through the mall at 7:24PM and Jimmy and I split and went to another department store, looked around at some stuff. I looked at As Seen On TV stuff, then we saw furniture that looked like my Mom's new couches. Right next to it was furniture that looked like our other furniture in the den! It was kind of weird to see that happen, after my parents couldn't find decent furniture for a while. We stopped at the Jewelry store that Trinity was at (she was getting earrings fixed) and then at a Hallmark afterward, then the time was about 7:43PM.

We walked a bit further and Trinity and I stopped in H&M at 7:47PM, a pretty decent place according to Trinity. I really liked the clothing, only problem was, that specific store was all girls/kids. The one in Philly was bigger and had men's clothes. *Sad face*. We went downstairs to a Foot Locker for Jimmy to look at New Balance's or whatever around 7:56PM. He couldn't find any. By this point, my feet were killing me and I was overdressed, very hot. We headed over to Champs at 7:59PM. No luck. We went to an AT&T store at 8:02PM because Jimmy wants a new phone. iPhone or iPod touch, for his work. We went next door to Borders Express at 8:04PM. I saw a David Sedaris book I wanted but I didn't want to pay almost $20 for it. I just want something to read on the flight home. I ended up buying 3 Digital Photography books @ $4.99, $4.99, $3.99. Not too bad. It's better to get it now than later when I want one and it's $20. I became a member, FOR FREE! :) We left there at 8:16PM. We headed through Macy's to the car and waited for it to warm up, as when we got outside, IT WAS SNOWING! Only a little, but it counts! Woot SNOW FLURRIES! We left at 8:20PM.

We arrived home and I was inside these comfy doors at 8:49PM. Up until now, 9:20PM, I've been posting this. Jimmy and Trinity are making dinner, which is pasta and chicken. Woooo.

9:05PM
Philly: 28, feels like 20. 10-19mph winds. Cloudy. (The sky is well-light because of the lights of the city. I just kind of realized that tonight, as we walked inside)
Mburg: 35, feels like 35. 4mph winds. Clear.
NYC: 22, feels like 9. 14mph winds. Fair.

Been hanging around on the lappy watching that Secret Life of American Teenager show and Make it or Break it. We ate, and it was delicious. Jimmy has been researching the skii resorts and all of their prices. It's 12:42AM.

Nice talk. Bed @ 3:12AM.

1-3-10

Woke up just around 7:45am. I got on the computer for a bit then hit up the shower around 8:15am. Jimmy left to get half and half for the coffee, thank god! I decided to put on my thermals, for the first time. NYC is -1 with windchill right now, and will be 1-3 when we get there. Philly is 21, feeling like 6 with windchill, partly cloudy and windy. Mburg is 29, feeling like 22. It's now 8:54am, watching the Today show in NYC. They are asking people about their new year's resolution. It says it's 19 degrees there. (According to weather.com, it's correct, but again, -1 with windchill. :o

Up until now, (9:08am), I've been looking at maps of Philly to New York, and comparing it to our drive from last night all the way to Morgantown. It'll take about ~2 hours to get to NYC. It is right in the middle of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Hmm!

---

Come to found out, we were in Manhattan. The entire island was Manhattan, we were on the south end of it, from Central Park to Allen Street, China Town.

At 10:15AM, we left and had just gotten on the North/South subway. We were trying to catch the 10:30AM bus in China Town, but it didn't happen. I believe we had to transfer to a second subway, (T shaped in Philly). We got off the subway at 10:41AM, so we went for the 11AM bus. The buses are owned by China Town and operate between China Town in all the major cities, like NY, PA, DC, NJ, etc..

We got on the bus around 10:45AM. LOTS of chinese people going to NY today! There was a sign inside the small building where we changed our ticket times that said "We are not response for any belonging." Hahaha. We left shortly after, as once they fill up, they leave. No sense in sitting around for nothing! Jimmy and I talked about school, Philly, Mom, New Jersey, Miami, everything. Once we got an hour away, the little girl in front of us began crying. WOOP WOOP! (11:50AM)

I could see the Empire State building at 12:16PM. Boyyy did it look small from where we were. 4 minutes later, I could see the Statue of Liberty. It was a LOT smaller than I imagined. At 12:29PM, we were inside the tunnel going from NJ to NY. We arrived in Chinatown, New York at 12:47PM. After we unloaded and walked around, we found a subway and looked for a map around 1:27PM. We were going the wrong way, so we turned around.

At 1:33PM, we stopped at a brick oven pizza place to warm up and look at the map. I ordered a Baked Ziti Pizza and Hawaiian Punch. Man was my face NUMB. It was so numb, my BRAIN HURT.

We left for ground zero at 1:51PM. We finally found ground zero at 2:25PM. Let me describe the weather. It was VERY windy. VERY VERY windy, and it was snowing. Snow flurries, if you will. We were walking in the direction of the wind most of the time, and all the snow was blowing in my face, my eyes, my mouth. It was FREEZING. I couldn't feel my face at all. While at ground zero, we went inside a makeshift museum memorial, $5 with a student ID. It was pretty sad, lots of stuff recovered. As we walked downstairs, there were a bunch of cranes that were hanging down above the stairs. The downstairs room was mostly letters and stuff, there was a table and kleenex for people to write what they thought about the place and 911 in general. The note in the picture is easier to read when it is bigger, but it reads, "After I heard how important the twin towers were it made me even more angryer then before. I just want to do something about it! But what?" It was written by a kid.

Then, we caught the subway, hoping to find Central Park. There was an acapella group that came through singing a lion king song, and then some other usual acapella song. I wanted to film, but we didn't give them money so it would probably not have been appreciated. Plus, everyone was pretty pissed. This guy across from us was mad, and he started to pray.

Speaking of the subway, sometime before, some guy was announcing that he was collecting money for a good cause, or food. He said if you are attractive, he was also accepting hugs, haha. Also, there was a point when someone got on the subway, then when the doors were closing, decided to get off, and fought the door 3-4 times to pull them open. "PLEASE stand clear of the doors," the intercom would announce. "People these days," a guy leaning against the door said.

We were on the subway, almost to Central Park at 3:45PM. We had just passed Park Ave. (on the Monopoly board, a pretty famous street) at 3:53PM. While at Central Park, I saw the horse carriages and whatnot. There is an Apple store that is made of purely glass, and you walk inside, then you have to take the stairs or elevator to actually go underground to the store. Behind that was one of the famous toy stores. We went inside Central Park first, and took a few pictures of the frozen lake and whatnot. Then, we headed back over and we stopped in the toy store. There were some really neat things in there. I saw Rockefeller Plaza at 4:54PM, and we stopped at a Starbucks as we were on our way to Times Square. Arrived at Times Square at 5:18PM. It was AWESOME to see at night, very beautiful. "The lights will inspire you." After getting a few pictures, we decided to head over to the M&M store, which we changed our minds and went into the Reese's store to get something for Trinity. Considering it was nothing special but Reese's candy, very overpriced, we didn't get anything. Although, there were some shirts, hoodies, and cups and the usual. But who want's a Reese's souvenir?

We walked around a bit, got some nuts, ended up walking around the block, and I bought I <3 NY t-shirts. We stopped at Ruby Tuesday in Times Square at 5:43PM. Everything was $20+. I ordered the Chicken Finger appetizer for $9.99. It wasn't very tasty. Oh well. We left there at 6:16PM.

We caught a subway train to the bus at 6:28PM. Inside the subway station, as we were heading up to the streets for the bus, there was a chinese lady singing absolutely terrible music, along with two friends that were playing instruments. I have a video of it. While finding the bus, the chinese guys were helping us find our bus, but it took 3 different people to finally find the right one. They are nice and helpful, but very rushed people. Once we found the bus, the lady was yelling in chinese at the people, then saying "this bus this bus! Then telling them to get off the road while the bus parallel parked. Then she was like, get on the back bus! (the bus that was pulling up beside it) then everyone ran to it, started loading the bottom of it, then she started closing it and it took off. Meanwhile, everyone is yelling in chinese and it was absolutely insane, but very funny to me. The bus took off, only to park. So then the crowd simultaneously runs to it again. Again, very funny, and then as we are all trying to get on the bus, she's practically pushing us and saying "go! go! quick! get on the bus!" The "MORE PEOPLE, MORE PEOPLE!" theory was proven correct. MAN she was crowding us and rushing us. VERY funny to me. We got on the bus to head out to Philly at 7:12PM. I fell asleep for an hour, and woke up the the same two black guys behind me talking, while everyone was sleeping. They talked about Young Jeezy, some rapper artist friend, facebook, myspace nicknames, twitter, and all sorts of things. Someone started to smell like pure alcohol, they must've been really drunk. We arrived in Chinatown in Philly at 9:08PM. After catching two subway trains back home, we arrived at 9:52PM.

10:25PM
Philly: 26 degrees, feels like 13 degreees. 16MPH winds. Cloudy.
Mburg: 32 degrees, feels like 27 degrees. 5MPH winds. Fair.
NYC: 19 degrees, feels like 5 degrees. 16MPH winds. Cloudy.

I took a break after posting that, then Jimmy and Trinity took down the tree to take outside. Well, before all that, I took a few pictures of them and the tree with Sophia and her Santa suit. Anywho, I vacuumed the needles and the rest of the living room and here I am, finishing my post for today. There's too much detail to cover, but I still want to do this, no point in quitting now. It'll make for good memories later. It's now 11:48PM. I'm going to browse the interwebs, watch TV, chill out, get ready to shower, and the rest of the works.

---

I've basically hung out since last post. Trinity and Jimmy sat on the couch and he went through some old pictures on his laptop. Shortly before 2AM I got in the shower, and here I am, at 2:19AM. Hittin' the hay at 3:33am.

1-2-10

Finished the show I was watching last night around 2am. Another show, Half Ton Dad came on, about this black guy that was bedbound for several years. I watched that until 2:15am or so and decided to turn in for the night.

Actually got out of bed at 11am and talked about going to Amish Country in Lancaster. The drive starts in Morgantown. We have an hour drive to Morgantown then the entire scenic drive to Lancaster, which is the heart of the Amish Country I suppose. From there, we're driving straight back here.

I got in the shower at 11:30 and was out by 11:50, so I made a delicious cup of coffee and looked at some Shady Maple Farm Market & Smorgasbord coupons to see if we should print any, and here I am at exactly noon.

The weather right now is 28, feeling like 15 degrees. Cloudy and Windy. Middleburg is 48 feeling like 43 degrees. Sunny!

**Registered my mobile blog @ wincop417.blogspot.com so I can keep up to date with my postings. I want to see how it adds it (separate posts or whatnot, kind of like Twitter, but there is an option to merge it to my existing blog, I don't want it creating 50 new posts. This way, I can always use my mobile blog as a reference to copy and paste it over, then completely delete my mobile blog when I'm done. Also, I can send pics straight to it, so I can save those and transfer over. This was all completed at 12:15pm**

Now I'm looking at some other things to do in Lancaster. I was interested in seeing the 28 covered bridges. I love bridges! They are scattered, so I'm sure we'll see a bunch.

---

We didn't see the bridges!

Anywho, we left for the Amish Country at 12:53PM. It was very cold! I saw the most beautiful scenic route through philly and some million dollar houses around 1:35pm. I would love to live there, or the city. It's nearly the same price, but it's more secluded over here, very beautiful though. At 2pm we stopped at Baja Fresh. I ordered two steak tacos @ $2.50 a piece! The walk inside was absolutely killer, it was VERY windy. We got back on the road at 2:37pm. VERY VERY windy, absolutely FREEEEZING. My hands hurt just walking from the restaurant to the car.

We reached the scenic route of the Amish Country around 3:37pm. There was lots and lots and lots of farmland. The land looked so beautiful with the sun. We saw about 10 horse carriages the whole day, and found out they had headlights AND blinkers. It's a shame I didn't get many pictures, I could have literally gotten a TON of pictures from the view. It was too hard since we were driving, and I didn't want to exactly pull over. It's too hard to get the artistic photos I want alongside the 500 pictures I've taken (literally 506 as of tonight) of trying to get pictures of everything I see for souvenirs and for others to see. Oh well!

At 5:05pm, we stopped at one of the largest pet stores, apparently. It's called "That Fish Place." It was pretty neat, they had all sorts of pets, and half the building was a fish store, I took some pictures. We saw some very beautiful saltwater tanks. Talk about pricy! They almost farm their own plants. They are about the size of a quarter and they are anywhere from $20-$200!

We arrived at the Smorgasbord at 6:15pm. We walked around the gift shop for 15-20 minutes. A lot of the furniture was VERY expensive, but very good quality, as it was made by the Amish. Then, we headed upstairs for the $20/person buffet! MAN was that nice. It wasn't the most perfect food, but it was definitely a high class Golden Coral. At 8:13PM we left the Smorg. Still VERY cold and windy. I was partially falling asleep on the ride home. We arrived at 9:25pm.

Philadelphia: 22 degrees, feels like 6 degrees. Clear and windy.

Done posting at 9:50pm. Going to sit back on the computer and watch TV for a bit.

Browsed the internet for a while, checking up on everything. Got a shower roughly before midnight and then got back on the computer. Chatted with a friend about his situations and tried to help him out. Now I'm going to bed at 1:42AM.

1-1-10

How weird to say 1-1-10!

Anywho, I figured I would cut this off the other post and put it in the proper date.

I sat up until about 3am or so watching -some movie or something-. Trinity and Jimmy were supposed to leave at 2am, and I think they fell asleep. I thought about waking them or checking on them, but then I saw one of them and they left around 2:30am. I fell asleep shortly and woke about a quarter to 4am to the loudest buzzing ever. It was the phone next to the door. I ignored it the first two times because I had no idea what it was. I finally got up and started to think it was probably Jimmy, as if he forgot his key or couldn't get in. I opened the door and heard a guy telling someone "thank you so much, sorry for waking you." I assume he was calling all the apartments, trying to get someone to open the door. I had no idea where Jimmy was, it was late and it should've only taken a couple minutes for him to drop off Trinity. I decided to head back to bed.

I woke up around 10:47am or so and felt great to sleep in. I browsed the internet while Jimmy got ready for work. He told me about Trinity missing the bus and then her flight. :( He left and she came out and asked about going to the parade later, and insisted on taking me, even though I know she dreads it. So after about an hour or so, I got a shower around 2pm (heh) and got out and was dressed by around 2:30-2:45pm. She was pretty much ready, which I was surprised. And off we were to the Mummers Parade! The whether this morning read about 37 degrees, feeling like 33 degrees. It was pretty high. (Middleburg was 49, feeling like 44 and rainy around 10:45am)

We walked down the road to the subway and got on, which didn't take but a minute. As we walked up the stairs of the subway, people were EVERYWHERE (A little after 3pm). We walked around a bit to see some of the shows and I got a few pictures. This went on for almost an hour and a half. By 4:30pm, we were across the street and had just seen "the green dude." The crappy part of the parade ended at 5pm, but we had enough so we headed over to the bar where Jimmy worked. On the subway ride there, there were some obnoxious guys that were really loud and they even got off at our stop and were pretty annoying. Trinity told me about the art sale/show every Friday near Jimmy's work.

We arrived there around 4:50pm. They made me try some .. weird thing in a grape leaf wrap with rice and black olive. It wasn't bad, it tasted like pickle. Then I ordered the small pulled pork sandwhiches with cheddar instead of swiss (as suggested by Jimmy) with regular fries. It was filling for sure! After a quick bathroom break, he tried to get me to talk to the Mexican cooks in Spanish. He told them I was shy in Spanish (truth was, I didn't feel comfortable with him standing right there). "timido." So I sat down and they insisted on us eating dessert. Trinity and I agreed on the fried cheesecake things. A long time later, Trinity told Jimmy to tell them to hurry. I heard him tell them in the back, "dice 'tengo hambre'" which means, "she says 'im hungry'" Come to find out, they made two separate, very elaborate plates, instead of just one. It was four little cheesecake wraps with chocolate sauce and then a big whine class full of icecream and whipped cream in the center. I was WAY too full to finish it. In fact, I felt like throwing up. I was tired and I had a headache, so I tried to keep my attention focused on the college football game, Oregon vs. Ohio State (Rose Bowl). It was pretty good. We stayed until the end of halftime and then finally left.

I think we left just around 7pm. We hit up the subway and then had to catch the other subway (which goes perpendicular to the one we were on). It seemed like a long wait because I felt horrible, and we were waiting for the subway BELOW the actual subway, so it was loud and there were TONS of black people waiting. I see a lot of black people on the subway. I saw some weird tranny guy, it was pretty...interesting. We got off and walked home, entering through the back. Trinity and I talked about school, mostly classes, books, then apartments.

I think we got home around 7:35pm. Not sure why it seems like it took so long to get home. It was probably just the wait, combined with the walk. From there, I've basically sat on the computer (heh) until now, about 12:05am. Well, at 11:40pm I started typing this. I'm fixing to get a shower to lay down and finish watching T.V. At 8pm, the Fancy Brigade (the better part of the parade) was on T.V. It's kind of like guard competitions, but with ... The Mummers. They are groups that dress up in insane costumes and dance and have really weird shows. It's a little absurd, but kind of interesting. 100points goes towards just the costumes, 50 toward something else, 20 for another, and I think 30 toward overall effect. Then, Family guy was on, and now, Friends is on. It's an old season. Right now, whether is 32, feeling like 31 right now. Cloudy. Middleburg is 42, feeling like 36 and clear right now.

Shower at 12:30am after talking to Ben and typing this from 12am-12:30am. Out at 1am. Chatted on FB IM with Ben until 1:30am. Going to finish watching 650 LB Virgin: The Weight is Over and try to fall asleep (1:42AM). Jimmy should be home around 3am.

Middleburg: 42 degrees, feels like 36 degrees {Clear}
